The European UAS Standards Coordination Group (EUSCG)
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) represent one of the fastest‑growing and most dynamic segments of the aviation industry. This sector ranges from very large aircraft comparable in size and complexity to traditional manned aviation, to very small consumer‑grade devices. All these categories may operate within the same airspace as Commercial Air Transport, General Aviation, and Aerial Work operations.
Given this diversity and the shared use of airspace, it is essential to ensure a harmonised approach to the integration of UAS at both regulatory and operational levels. Establishing common standards, aligning regulatory frameworks, and promoting coordinated implementation are key to safely and efficiently incorporating UAS into the existing aviation ecosystem.
